Another spelling word story from RoboMom.
One day, that bad RoboHen skipped school. He was racing around his lair and joking with his assistants when he heard a noise. Someone was shouting from far away. He needed to find out where that noise was coming from, so he ran all around, listening hard, until he was panting and out of breath. RoboHen found nothing at first. He was hopping mad. There was no telling who was making the noise, but it sounded upset.
Suddenly, he heard a thump right under his chicken feet. He pulled up the trap door handle of the 101 Things Machine, hoping that would reveal a clue. Instead, there sat his poor mom, wrapped in a pink blanket, with a baby elephant on top of her! The elephant greeted him with a huge trumpet - BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRM! - and RoboHen's mom, who could not talk because the elephant's foot was on her beak, nodded to him frantically. RoboHen started plotting right away.
The room had recently been cleaned and painted bright purple, so there were lots of supplies scattered around. RoboHen quickly strapped on his skates and grabbed a faded sheet, which was acting as a dropcloth. He quoted Mighty Mouse as he skated toward the elephant with the dropcloth in one claw: "Here I come to save the day!" Using all of his weight, he bumped into the elephant with a great thump, letting go of the sheet at the same time. It floated onto his enemy's face, and RoboHen began tickling the elephant-shaped lump under the sheet with all his might. For a couple of minutes, he had no idea who was winning.
Then RoboHen had a bright idea. Remembering where he was most ticklish, he hunted for the elephant's belly button. Eureka! The elephant started shaking and whuffling and eventually leaped off poor RoboHen's mom to escape from his tickling tormentor. RoboHen grabbed his mom and swung onto the ladder of the 101 Things Machine, flying up to safety and closing the trap door behind him. His mom was thankfully unharmed - it was a much lighter elephant than it looked. She was so thankful that she made RoboHen his favorite treat, a giant bowl of mango sorbet.

RoboHen is a Terrible Patient
This is another RoboHen word study story authored by the mom, not the boy.
It was winter, and RoboHen had a fever. His mom had a big problem taking care of him. She covered him with a blanket, but he kept throwing it off. She wanted him to be silent because his throat hurt, but he kept yelling. She closed his window so he wouldn't catch a chill, but he kept opening it. He was a terrible patient who refused to follow directions.
The other female in the house, RoboHen's sister, had no luck either. He threw his pillow at her and bit her finger. She tried to bring him some water to help him feel better. Instead of drinking it, he only dumped it on the floor. After that, RoboHen's mom took charge again.
She brought him his fuzzy yellow blanket and his favorite book, RoboHen in Oz. She started with chapter number one. In a few moments, RoboHen stopped acting crazy and started to calm down. He thought it was funny when the twister carried him to Oz, and he smiled sleepily. He really liked it when he became a member of Dorothy's travelling party to go see the Wizard. He tiredly traced the letters on the cover, and as his feathers moved over the pattern of the yellow brick road, he fell fast asleep. His mom kissed his forehead so he would have sweet dreams, and wished with all her heart that his fever would break and he would wake up feeling better.
And so it did, and he did.

RoboHen's Crazy Summer
Note: Every Wednesday, Jackson must write each of his word study words three times. To make this more interesting, I have gotten into the habit of reading the words in the form of a RoboHen story. Jackson wants to record those stories on this blog; these are the work of me, his mother. All others are his own.
One summer, RoboHen received an unexpected present from his mother. She came to his lair with a box that contained a tiny, mewing striped kitten and a cute roly-poly puppy. They both seemed happy, but they needed a home. RoboHen opened the box and instantly was drawn to the feisty kitten, who was trying to claw its way up the sides. RoboHen's mom knew that her son would give the little creature a home, so she handed it over and headed off to find a companion for the puppy.
As soon as she had gone, RoboHen tried to feed the kitten a can of cat food for supper. The pretty orange ball of fur refused to eat the food, but scampered out the window and caught its own meal - a rabbit! It was a giant rabbit... RoboHen measured it with a ruler, and it was more than a foot long! The stripy kitten was a very contented diner, greedily devouring its prey. "Well, hello, kitten," thought RoboHen. "You can catch your own dinner from now on." RoboHen named his new pet T-Rex because of its appetite, and they had a super summer together, getting up to all sorts of mischief. Once they had to apologize to the owner of the candy store because RoboHen put a penny in the machine for a gumball, and T-Rex got so excited that he knocked the whole machine over and made a big mess. Later he wrote a letter to the store owner, telling him that he would control his pet better in the future. RoboHen learned his lesson and did not take T-Rex into any more stores.
It was a crazy summer, but it was fun. Imagine RoboHen's surprise when he realized that his beloved kitten wasn't a kitten at all. It was almost September when his friend the zookeeper, who had heard stories about all the mayhem that T-Rex was causing, came to visit. "Oh, no!" said the zookeeper. "That's not a kitten! What you have, RoboHen, is a young TIGER!" He handed RoboHen a piece of paper with directions to the zoo, and told him that he could visit T-Rex anytime, but that it was time for him to live with other tigers. RoboHen was sad, but he knew that it was for the best, and he promised T-Rex that he would come visit every Saturday. And he did.

RoboHen Steals the Grand Birthday Trophy
When Yoda tried to defeat RoboHen in the grand birthday tournament when Sadie turned 18, Yoda won! But then RoboHen grabbed the trophy and ran to his getaway jet. Yoda ran to try to catch RoboHen, but RoboHen used his grappling hook to get right onto the plane. Yoda tried to use the Force to cut a hole in the rope, but the rope was too tough.
Then once RoboHen got in the getaway jet, he tried to speed away. Then Yoda got on his giant trampoline and bounced all the way up to the jet. As soon as he got up there, he hung onto a handlebar and managed to use his light saber to cut a hole in the engine room. Then Yoda climbed into the engine room and he used his light saber to destroy the engine, but then RoboHen cleverly transformed the getaway jet into a getaway helicopter, and the engine room turned into a jail cell. Then Yoda decided to use his light saber to destroy the rope that was attaching the jail cell to the helicopter.
When the jail cell landed, Yoda got another one of his giant trampolines and bounded right back up. This time he grabbed onto the roof of the helicopter, and then he quickly used his light saber to break one of the propellers, and that accidentally sent the helicopter straight for Yoda's secret base. Then Yoda quickly cut a hole in the roof of the helicopter with his light saber, and jumped down into the cockpit and knocked RoboHen out of his seat. Then Yoda jumped right into the chair and he tried to make the helicopter move away from his secret base, but RoboHen found a way to sneak into the engine room of the helicopter and tried to break the controls from the engine room. Since Yoda could not control the helicopter, right when it was about to strike his secret base, RoboHen's mom and Sadie came to the rescue! They flew in the tree jet, which bumped into the helicopter and changed the helicopter's direction. So instead of hitting Yoda's secret base, it hit RoboHen's secret base. Yoda hopped right out of the helicopter and ran straight to RoboHen's secret base. Since he thought it was his secret base, he ran to what he thought was his control room and got four golden keys, but they were really the keys to RoboHen's ultimate power box.
Since the controls to RoboHen's ultimate power box were exactly the same as the ones for Yoda's secret control room, Yoda started to unlock the power box, but just then RoboHen flew right in on his hang glider. He quickly flew his hang glider right into the trap room and then he took all three energy bolts. Then he ran straight up the ladder to the ultimate power box and tried to throw the energy bolts right at the very tippy top of the ladder where the secret exit was, but when they accidentally hit the secret exit, Yoda's mom came in!
Yoda's mom and Yoda knocked RoboHen off the ladder for good.

But then right when Yoda was about to throw the three energy bolts back onto the power box and escape from the secret exit, then RoboHen's mischievous brother and sister came in, and they threw their energy bolts right at Yoda and Yoda's mom. Luckily, they were able to deflect the energy bolts right at the power box, and then RoboHen's mom grabbed the energy bolts again. Yoda and his mom used the Force to push RoboHen and his mischievous brothers and sisters out of the room. RoboHen's mom then turned off the power box. The two moms escaped to the secret exit.

RoboHen's Mom Gets Her Books Back
One time RoboHen's mom flew in her plane and landed on RoboHen's hideout and then she went through the entrance. First thing she did was pull the lever that activated the entrance to the trap room, for RoboHen had a trap room in his hideout! And his book safe was in his trap room... that's where he keeps all of his stolen books. He loves to steal books! The books have treasure maps or machine maps in them because RoboHen's mom's grandmother put the maps in the books. So RoboHen doesn't read the books.
When RoboHen's mom got to the first trap, which was a laser trap, she made a hole in the ceiling and then she climbed through the hole and used her laser tracker so she would know when she could get back down to the floor. And then when she got down to the floor, she then used her screwdriver to unscrew the lid on the metal case with the energy bolt on it. Then she flicked off the switches that said "L One," then "L Two," all the way up to "L Ten." Then she continued on to the next trap, which was the chainsaw trap.
The way she did the chainsaw trap was she dug a hole in the ceiling again, except it was a bigger hole, and then she used her chainsaw tracker so she would know when she could get back on the floor. Then she used her screwdriver to unscrew the lid on the box which said, "Energy Bolt Two." And when RoboHen's mom finished unscrewing that box, RoboHen flew in his plane all the way to the spot where RoboHen's mom was, and then he used his jackhammer to make a hole in the ground. He climbed down into the trap room and quickly stole the lid off the cage. Then he took the energy bolt off the lid of the metal cage and threw the energy bolt at the chainsaw trap and the laser trap to make the traps turn on again! But then RoboHen's mom used her grappling hook to grab the energy bolt back and used it to turn the traps back off again.
And then when she got to the other traps, it was the popcorn trap, so she dug a hole underneath the trap, so she used her popcorn tracker... Then she unscrewed the box that said "Energy Bolt Three." Then she flicked off the switches that said "T One," "T Two," all the way up to "T Ten." The T stands for "Trap."
And then RoboHen's mom got to the last trap, which was the - oh me, oh my - the ALARM trap, which does sound an alarm, and it also makes a wall out of leaves blocking the way if you step on the button. And then RoboHen's mom walked really carefully across the floor. One time she did hit a button, but RoboHen didn't see the light flash, so she got to the book safe. She entered the secret code and then...
She got her books back! Then she left her books in the safe and used her ladder to climb up the power box which would turn off RoboHen's whole entire hideout. But that one was much harder to turn off... It needed a grappling hook!

RoboHen Takes Over the World, Part 1 (of 30)
Once RoboHen and his assistants hit the ground after they escaped from jail, they saw RoboHen's mom chasing them. RoboHen quickly used his grappling hook to hit the button to open the secret entrance to his hideout, and then he and all of his assistants quickly ran into his hideout. Then RoboHen pushed the green button inside his hideout to close the secret door so his mom couldn't come in, because the hideout was only for bad things.
But then his mom came racing toward the door, and she noticed that the post holding the red button to RoboHen's hideout was gone because the green button could also make the post go down into his hideout. RoboHen's mom was so angry that she found her chainsaw and started to saw the trap door. But the green button also made a spring go to the bottom of the door, and once RoboHen's mom finished sawing, she sprang up into the air. RoboHen quickly lowered the spring and climbed up his ladder and repaired the trap door.
RoboHen's mom thought of another idea. She secretly ran to another place in the grass and used her chainsaw to saw that because she had a map of RoboHen's hideout. When she finished sawing the hole, she used her grappling hook to hit the red button, and then the trap door opened. She came rushing rushing rushing to the trap door, but RoboHen caught her with his spy cameras, and he pushed the green button to close the trap door and lower the button again. RoboHen pulled the lever to release a hundred propellers flying out of the hideout, and the only way to open the door again was to grab every single propeller and return it to the secret computer inside RoboHen's hideout. But RoboHen's mom knew where the secret computer was, so she ran to the ground above it and dug a hole, and then secretly used her grabbing machine to grab every single one of those propellers. She threw them at the computer.
RoboHen was so mad that he released a flock of Angry Birds. But RoboHen's mom knew what to do. She used her grappling hook to hit the big green button on RoboHen's computer, and all the Angry Birds fell to the ground, because they were just robot Angry Birds. Then RoboHen quickly jumped into the hole because he was super dooper flooper angry. He made an elevator catch his mom and carry her back to the ground. He used his giant ladder to climb up to the hole and repair it, and put some grass on it to disguise it.
